The Networking Event for Small Business Marks its 10th year!
This is the only business show in upstate New York that is customized for you and your small
business. The Small Business Show – SOHO Syracuse 2008, in its tenth year, is a marketplace for
products, services, and resources for small business. If you are a small business owner, CEO,
president, and/or manager of a business with 30 or fewer employees – you should definitely attend.
Also if you’re starting a new business – don’t miss this show on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Convention Center at Oncenter.
At this one-day show you’ll be able to see the options available for your company. There will be
over 150 booths showcasing the latest technology from computers to cell phones; financial funding
with banking institutions, as well as, government support; business services along with a variety
of tools that small businesses need.
Small Business and SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) companies are now the main economic engine for
the upstate New York business marketplace. The Small Business Show – SOHO Syracuse 2007 is your
opportunity to expand your network along with obtaining an extensive amount of information relating
to your small business.
Small Business topics will also be featured in 30 to 45 minute presentation segments during the
event. In September a schedule of the presentations will be available and you'll be able to
pre-register at that time for these free small business presentations.
The day will wrap up between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. with the Networking Reception in the Main Exhibit
Hall. This reception is an excellent chance for attendees and exhibitors to network with each other.
There’ll be entertainment and free refreshments. Also prizes will be given away during the
Networking Reception.
Another feature of the show will be the 6th Annual SOHO Awards. Three companies will be honored,
each in the following categories: Companies with 1 to 5 employees; companies with 6 to 15 employees;
and minorities/women-owned companies. The winners will receive a complimentary booth in the 2009
show, a company profile in this year’s show guide; and recognition in the Syracuse Chamber of
Commerce newsletter.
